Rising Bacterial Pathogen Shows Resistance to Quats in Common Cleaners: Research

Scientists tested 20 different drug-resistant strains of P. aeruginosa collected from hospitals, and found all 20 were at least partially resistant to QACs.

Chemists at Emory University have published research that demonstrates multidrug-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa, a pathogen of particular concern in hospital settings, is showing a “surprising” level of resistance to cleaning agents.
